ANNOUNCEMENTS


Lots of stuff on the docket for this evening so please read the announcement in its entirety!

❗️ We have a lot coming up for November – some of it's plot and some of it's mechanics. MwM is going to have another month-long event courtesy of the Time God. To help Shadowpeaks' current residents weaken ( and inevitably defeat ) the Death God he's going to rewind time in Shadowpeaks. This means that for approximately a month Shadowpeaks is going to be restored to its former glory and all the locations will be completely revitalized & reinvigorated. But there's more to it than that, and the town will also be teeming with life – yes, people!

But just like returning from the dead has its side effects going back in time also has its side effects, and you can choose from any of the following AU mind fuckery options –

☣️ Your character can believe that they live in Shadowpeaks and have been integrated into the town. You can create your character a backstory that they'll live out through most of the event. You can say they're a nurse at the Hospital or a cashier at Foodland or an officer at the Police Station – whatever! If you choose this option, then your character and their partner(s) will have a house for them to live in & decorate.
☣️ Your character can believe that they're in Shadowpeaks on vacation and taking time out of their busy schedules to get a little rest & relaxation. It is a secluded mountain town on a beautiful lake. If you choose this option, then you'll find you have yourselves a room in a motel to stay in.
☣️ Or you can contrive your own reason for your character being in Shadowpeaks. It must be of their own free will, but they could be visiting a friend, traveling for business, looking for inspiration, etc.

During the event, your characters can ( and will ) stumble across bizarre distortions & strange clues, giving them static glimpses of their future selves & hints on how to obtain the tools to weaken a god.

❗️ In addition, we're also going to be retooling some of the other aspects of the game. We have a role for @ Runners in the discord, so it's easier to ping them during games.

❗️ We're also going to be changing the activity requirements, so instead of needing a specific comment count we're just going to ask for a link to a thread showing that you've done something for the month. We're hoping the shift makes things easier on you and alleviates some of the stress that comes from monthly activity checks.

❗️ And finally, we're going to be getting rid of the team aspect altogether. This is mostly because our numbers have dwindled and trying to keep things balanced was getting difficult. Pulse is going to be write this into the narrative no matter the outcome of the event, but your characters will still find themselves branded by one of the seven Apostles ( or Vastella ) and they'll still have access to a portion of their powers. We're going to try to regularly post mingles with fun events or quirky effects, but if our runners need groups for their games, then we'll just separate people into groups. ❗️ As for the housing situation, each character will find themselves in possession of their own house or apartment, unless, of course, you'd like to live with one or more other characters. If all of Gluttony still wants to live together, then that's fine. If Joshua, Clive, & Dion want to live together, then that's fine. If Aventurine & Ratio want to live together, but OOCly you'd also like to include Sunday & Robin, then talk it up to an accident and now you're all living together, and that's fine. Please mix & match however you want.
